Skills Bootcamp

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is proud to be working in partnership with the Department for Education (DfE) to help deliver Skills Bootcamps. Flexible, government-funded training programmes designed to meet current employer demand and help individuals progress in their careers.

These short, intensive courses are a great opportunity to gain new skills in high-demand sectors, whether you're looking to enter a new industry or advance in your current role.

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aged 19 or over

  • Have a good level of English 

What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses lasting up to 16 weeks. They’re designed to fit around your existing commitments and give you the skills that employers are actively hiring for.

You can train in a wide range of sectors, including:

  • Digital – data engineering, software development, marketing

  • Technical – construction, engineering

  • Green – EV maintenance, heat pump technology

  • Health & Social Care – care management, well-being

  • HGV Driving – whether you're new or returning to the profession

  • Business & Administration – project management, insurance

  • Early Years – child development, health & safety, and fast-track apprenticeships

Advanced Skills Bootcamp (Essex)

Advance your career with our Advanced Skills Bootcamp (Essex), designed to help individuals develop the technical skills that employers across the engineering and manufacturing sectors are looking for.

Our bootcamps provide practical, hands-on training delivered by experienced industry professionals, giving you the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge, improve your confidence, and enhance your career prospects.

We currently offer Advanced Skills Bootcamps in:

  • Coded Welding – Develop advanced welding techniques and industry-standard coding to support careers in fabrication, manufacturing and engineering.
  • Electrical Engineering – Build your electrical engineering knowledge with practical training designed to enhance technical competence and workplace confidence.
  • Lean Manufacturing – Learn how to improve efficiency, reduce waste and increase productivity using proven lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
