Electric Vehicle Coaching and Assessment

This on-road course is designed for employees who drive Category B electric vehicles. It combines risk assessment with personalised coaching to help improve driving behaviour and habits.

Key focus areas include speed awareness, lane discipline, distance awareness, observations, and hazard perception. Additional training covers electric vehicle-specific topics such as automatic vehicle controls, regenerative braking, driving modes, and the safe use of ancillary equipment.

The one-to-one course includes a 1-hour classroom session followed by a 3-hour formal driving assessment. During the session, drivers receive coaching on safe operation techniques such as pedal use, shifter positions, acceleration control, and managing the silent running of electric vehicles.

Throughout the course, delegates are continuously assessed. Upon completion, a comprehensive assessment report and certification are provided to the manager. This report includes personalised feedback and recommendations to support ongoing improvement and behavioural change.
